JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J., Aug. 1, 2024 – The Korn Ferry Tour is set to return to New Jersey with the playing of the Magnit Championship, Aug. 15-18 at Metedeconk National Golf Club in Jackson Township. As the final opportunity for players to qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour Finals and to earn PGA TOUR status for 2025, the Magnit Championship features an elite field of early commitments that include multiple Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR winners, former collegiate standouts, New Jersey residents and future stars of the PGA TOUR.
Each of the top-75 players and 98 of the top-100 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List are currently committed to the championship. Headlining the field includes top-10 players Steven Fisk (1), Tim Widing (2), Max McGreevy (3), Harry Higgs (4), Taylor Dickson (5), Cristobal Del Solar (6), Matt McCarty (7), Brian Campbell (8), Kevin Velo (9) and Quade Cummins (10).
The field also features several New Jersey residents and natives as early commitments, including Princeton alum Evan Harmeling, Morgan Hoffman (Franklin Lakes), David Kocher (Morristown) and John Pak (Scotch Plains).
Several PGA TOUR winners are entered into the championship as early commitments, including the 2011 FedExCup champion Bill Haas, Jonathan Byrd, Tommy Gainey, Satoshi Kodaira, Trey Mullinax, Sean O’Hair and Richy Werenski.
The field also includes:
- All 16 winners during the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season.
- Seven of those 16 winners have secured their 2025 PGA TOUR cards.
- Three multiple-time winners on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024 (Taylor Dickson – runner-up in 2023, Tim Widing and Harry Higgs).
They will be among a 156-player field in the 72-hole championship Thursday-Sunday, Aug. 15-18, competing for a share of the $1 million purse. Players have until 5 p.m. ET Friday, Aug. 9 to commit to the Magnit Championship.
Additional commitments will be announced leading up to the championship.
Following the conclusion of the Magnit Championship, the top 156 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List will advance to the four-tournament Korn Ferry Tour Finals, where 30 PGA TOUR cards will be awarded at the conclusion based on the Points List.
Tickets are now on sale for the Magnit Championship at www.magnitchampionship.com, including hospitality and general admissions tickets offering a wide degree of entertainment and access. All 2024 tournament tickets will be completely digital and will be emailed after purchase. Tickets can be viewed either on a mobile device or printed out where they will be scanned at the admissions gate.
All military personnel (active, retired, reserve and veteran) and first responders (police, fire, EMS) will receive complimentary admission to the 2024 Magnit Championship. Tickets will be available at the main admissions tent during tournament week by showing proper identification. Children 17 years of age and younger will also be admitted free into the tournament with a paid adult.

Volunteer Registration Open: Volunteer registration is open for the Magnit Championship with a variety of opportunities open to work alongside the Korn Ferry Tour and have an up-close viewpoint to the future stars of the PGA TOUR. Each year, hundreds of volunteers donate their time to serve critical needs during tournament week such as marshaling, walking scorers, ShotLink and many other important roles. The $50 volunteer package includes one official tournament branded golf polo; a hat or visor; one volunteer badge allowing access to the grounds and free parking all week; and two any-one day grounds passes, along with food and beverages for each day worked. betPARX, the official casino and sportsbook of the Magnit Championship is the official partner for the 2024 volunteer program. The inaugural Magnit Championship was contested in August of 2023, where Chan Kim captured his first Korn Ferry Tour win by three shots at 20-under par. The Magnit Championship marked the Korn Ferry Tour’s first event in New Jersey in 25 years.
The 2024 Magnit Championship will feature a field of 156 players from around the world competing over 72 holes for a share of a $1,000,000 purse. The event will be the 22nd of 26 events on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour schedule and final opportunity for players to qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
Metedeconk National Golf Club, which originally opened in 1987, is located in the upper region of the New Jersey Pinelands and is routed through the local marsh and lowland pine forest.
